Oil that nourishes and unites: our donation to Caritas and the Poor Clare Sisters of Olivenza

Some gestures are sweeter than any harvest. This year, at La Encomendiña, we wanted a portion of our olive oil to travel a different path than the restaurant table: the path of those who need it most.

We have donated 210 bottles of 250ml of our extra virgin olive oil—52.5 liters—to Cáritas, to be distributed to vulnerable families in our region. And another 222 bottles of 250ml—55.5 liters—to Sister Clara, a Poor Clare nun in Olivenza, for her community and her social support work in the area we share.

In total, 108 liters of extra virgin olive oil grown, harvested and produced on our farm in Olivenza, returned to the land that saw them born.

We believe that an oil with roots as deep as those of our olive trees also has an obligation to nourish the surrounding community. Social responsibility is not a separate aspect of the business: it is part of the very essence of this company.

Thanks to Caritas and Sister Clara for the quiet, constant work they do every day. It is an honor that our oil is a part of it.
